It's been 8 years since AT 20 went off the air, and I still enjoy listening to Hot AC music, but I really don't enjoy listening to anything Ryan Seacrest does.
What is my best option for a countdown on the weekends, when I'm not in an 80s or 90s mood?
I usually either lean Rick Dees Hot AC or The Pulse 2000s and today Top 15 on Sirius XM.

There's a Hot AC version of the iHeartRadio Countdown, hosted by Mario Lopez.

Does Ryan Seacrest still do an AT40 Hot AC version?

Yes I will be listening to that a little later. Later ended being today. Strange how they choose extras. Ari fell out with her "Side to Side" but they played it as an extra. That was an in-show extra. All the optional extras were recent hits. Wish they would go back at least a year for all these extras. Of course people are specifically requesting those optional extras so that tells you the listeners are looking for a lot of recurrent songs. Me, not so much!

It depends on the demand. I know that listening to the HAC versions of some shows such as iHeart Radio Countdown with Mario Lopez, they're very different and more easier to follow than it's CHR counterpart. Considering most radio stations tend to skew towards that line to play older music, I'm surprised on how many of them don't have at least one countdown, let alone two.

That's too bad that Randy Jackson's Hit List didn't last any longer than it did. That chart was really good - as hard as it is to balance accuracy with freshness, the chart they used did just that. Plus, while it had a little celebrity gossip, that wasn't the main focus of the show, as it is with AT40 (not sure if that show has improved or not, since I haven't listened to a full show since 2010).

I concur. RJ had the best post-Casey countdown to date. For me, the Rick Dees app has helped me listen to Hot AC countdowns in 2017-18. Say what you want about him, but 35 consecutive years of countdowns from 1983 to 2018 is impressive. He's going to exceed Casey in four years.

Casey didn’t do it consecutively. Rick passed him in October/November 2001.
He has not passed Bob Kingsley though.
