As far as the show itself, I thought they did a great show with the extras played in the actual countdown, particularly playing "Lost Boys", "You Don't Own Me", and "This Girl". Those were three songs that I was going to hate not hearing because of only doing the Top 40.

The official AT40 site is listing the top *50* of the year. Are they playing the Top 50 on the second-week special? 😳 They didn't last week.

I make year-end charts for Hot AC based on the weekly Mediabase charts, using an inverse point system. If you're curious as to how that looks, please have a look at this thread. I calculate one for the old chart year (Dec-Nov) and one for the calendar year. |

Interesting to see "Cheap Thrills" still not take home the crown. Thanks! "Can't Stop the Feeling" had 1701 points, while "Cheap Thrills" had 1615. Also, I've now updated the Top 100 HAC Songs of All Time to include 2016. |
