I have been listening to AT40 for 17 years with Casey, Shadow, and Ryan. Last week I was listening to the show on my i-pod and thought to myself, this is crazy. Too much rap and hip-hop. I just stopped listening. I deleted the show from my program that records the show on my computer. I replaced it with the oldies show, American Gold. Maybe I'm getting old.(48) It's not Ryan, it's the music. BTW,I still listen to Casey on AT10 and AT20.

I'm 29, and I'm right there with you. To me, it's not that there is too much rap, but just that the quality of all of it is so bad, rap included. The 80's and early 90's had some rap with creativity, today's rappers are all interchangeable, they sound alike. And the pop-punk wannabe bands and screeching female singers aren't any better.

I'm 19 and I even agree. Songs like "Laffy Taffy" by D4L are just not good in my opinion. However, even when I was a younger teenager I was never really into the hip-hop/rap stuff.
I listened to AT40 with Casey, and probably still would today if it was on....but as I said to Paul earlier today, I prefer the music of AT20 by a mile.
