I think you are referring to Joseph Pandolfi, who is still doing his oldies countdown on his stream. (theoldiescollection.com) His show is based on Billboard, by the way.

I was born in Philadelphia so we may sound kinda similar but have lived in the South since the mid 1970's.

Speaking of bestmusicexpert I hope you got a chance to listen to his show featuring the Top 40 from 2-14-1970. Those early 1970 shows give us all a chance to hear the songs that Casey didn't get a chance to play (unless the songs ended up on the 1970 year end countdown).

Continue to enjoy the music since that is the reason we all put all the work into the shows.

Here's what Cash Box Countdown will air on WBME on this week: on Monday, Feb 27, 2017 (at 9 am or pm Eastern time) or Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 4 am (Eastern)--         2-23-1980 (Although the number one single did make it to the top spot in Billboard, it turns out the two previous number ones did not).

The Cash Box Countdown on the first Monday in March (March 6th) is from March 6, 1965. It can be heard on WBME at 9 am or 9 pm (Eastern time), on Monday the 6th or at 4 am on Saturday the 11th.

Just a little beyond the scenes info: as most of you know it took over 18 hours to record the first AT40 show--well this week's show was my first stab at one of the weekly shows and it took me about 12 hours to record this one (which is about double what it takes me now). The pacing of the show is a little off, as well (assuming the pacing on most shows is acceptable ).

The Cash Box Countdown for March 20, 2017 (airing at 9 Eastern on WBME) will be the chart from March 21,1981. It features a song that reached #1 in Cash Box only and the song at #22 is one of my favorites (don't know why this song didn't do much better on the charts).

The show also features an 'extra' song that was debuting on the Top 100 that week.

The Cash Box Countdown set to air on WBME this week is from April 5, 1975, five years after the Beatles 'official' break up. This is a week that AT40 did a 'special' and not a regular countdown and the song at #1 is not a song that topped the Billboard chart. 

The countdown airs on Monday , April 3 at 9 am or pm(Eastern Time) or you can catch it at 4 am (Eastern) on Saturday, April 8th.

  I actually like the Herman's Hermits song at #9 (Listen People), in addition to #2-8. Until I started doing these countdown shows, I had forgotten how musically diverse the 1960's were/are. It's good to enjoy this music again.

On WBME this week will be the countdown from the Cash Box chart of April 12, 1980. The show airs at 9 (Eastern time) on Monday, April 10, 2017, and the show also replays at 4 am (Eastern) on Saturday, April 15th (don't forget income tax due date this year is Monday, April 18) .

The countdown for this week is from April 17, 1971. It features one of the first 45's I ever bought at #1. I remember that 45 melted in the drive back home and I used to put a penny on the tone arm to keep the record from skipping (does that bring back some memories ).

The CBC plays at 9 (Eastern time) on Monday, April 17th on WBME and at 4 am on Saturday, April 22nd.
