I wonder how many of you are still regularly listening to AT40 with Ryan Seacrest. The last time I listened the whole show was back in July when Gavin DeGraw was filling in.

I have not listened to a single AT40 show in its entirety since Ryan took over.
Back home in Ohio, I get AT40 Saturday mornings from 6am-10am. When it was Casey, I would get up religiously at 6 to listen. Now, if I am up, I will listen. However, now that we get AT10 Saturday mornings from 9-Noon, I will listen to AT10 over AT40 in the 9am hour.
Up at college, in addition to AT10 Saturday mornings, I get AT20 on Sunday from 9am-Noon and AT40 from 9am-1pm. Again, I listen to AT20 Sunday mornings religiously, but I really have little to no desire to flip on the last hour of AT40 after AT20 ends.

Same here,I don't listen to the show since this guy took over, but I listen to Y100 as much as I can,I love "Top 40" music. I got up early on sundays to listen to Casey's AT20,just like before, when Casey's AT40.

I don't listen to AT40 for several reasons...
1. I don't like the chart they use 2. I've slowly started losing interest in CHR/Pop music since the charts became dominated by Urban songs 3. It's on opposite AT20, and I'd much rather listen to that
Actually, the last time I listened to AT40 was when Shadoe was the host. From 1998-2003, the show did not air here in Connecticut. Only when Ryan took over as host did it return to the local airwaves.

My listening of it as fallen off since around July, and even at that point I had switched to listening to the HAC version of the show, for the same reason outlined in an earlier post...the CHR chart has become too urban for my tastes. I recently looked at R&R's CHR/Pop chart online and I have to say that I only knew a few of the songs, because they are also on the HAC chart. I do still collect Ryan's shows, as I'm a "completist."

From time to time but not every week, I might listen to an hour of AT40. If I know AT40 is on the air and Casey is not on other station at the same time, I'll tune in. But lately its the HOT AC version of AT40, instead of the CHR version.

The only full Ryan show I've listened to was his first as regular host. I just don't feel the need to wake up at 6am on Saturday anymore, like I did when Casey was hosting. And the brief time I do listen to the radio on Saturday morning now, I've got it tuned to AT20 on WMTX.

Does Dees's show still come on Sunday morning on FLZ? Or did they axe it/put seacrest on at that time also?
If I do listen to AT40, its the Hot AC version which airs on Z99 over the net. Good sound quality and all.

FLZ dropped Dees when he moved from Premiere to X Radio. They just run regular programming Sunday morning now.

My girlfriend (she's 30, I'm 31) and I were talking over the weekend about how we're both totally "out of it" as far as current CHR music is concerned. I think it's time we actually listened to one of Ryan's shows...we're too young to be "out of it" in terms of current CHR/Pop music.

Ok Scott, just get some terminology down before you listen...."boo" "yo, yo, yo", "golddigga" and "featuring" youwill probably hear these several times during the show when whatever songs get played.

Yep...I've now listened to the first hour of the 10/8 show, and sure enough...heard "featuring" at least twice. What's most interesting is that they've changed the production pieces for the show...new open, etc. How come Ryan gets a new package after a year and a half, but the AT20 package has been on the air since 1998? Oh yeah, I forgot...

Is there a chance for AT20 to ever receive a new jingle package? I like the current one, but it has been the same since..well...I started listening to the shows!

I still can't help to wonder how much of a priority Casey's shows are for Premiere. Like I said, Ryan got a new production package after only a year and a half. Casey's AT20 jingles have been on the air since 1998.

I think it's time we actually listened to one of Ryan's shows...we're too young to be "out of it" in terms of current CHR/Pop music. I'm 32, and I feel like this too. There was a time when I could recite the top 40 pop songs of the week from memory, and now I can look at a list of titles only and don't know who half the artists are or what the songs sound like! Worse, it doesn't even bother me. I rarely listen to CHR/Pop stations anymore. When I listen to Rick Dees online, I don't even like a lot of the new songs, especially the urban ones. But the sure sign I'm "getting old" is that most of the time I listen to radio stations that heavily focus on old music...just like my parents did when I was a kid!
