Ryan gets his Walk of Fame Star this Wednesday April 20. I work just a few blocks from Hollywood Highland so I might take an early lunch break to get a glimpse of the ceremony. Or maybe I'll just revisit Casey Kasem’s star which is located at 6931 Hollywood Blvd. ;D Hollywood Walk Of Fame Official Website with links to the complete lists www.hollywoodchamber.net/Hollywood Walk Of Fame Calendar www.seeing-stars.com/Calendar/index.shtml#WalkOfFame

No disrespect intended, but don't people generally have to be famous for more than a few years before they get a star on the Walk of Fame? Three years ago, nobody had ever heard of Ryan Seacrest. Is there nobody else who deserves the honor?

Actually according to Hollywood Chamber of Commerce the criteria are as ff: 1. Professional Achievement 2. Longevity of 5 years in the field of entertainment 3. Contribution to the community Plus the sponsorship of $15,000 (which is subject to change –guess it depends from year to year or inflation or maybe how much a sponsor can dole out.) Ryan had worked with Star 98.7 FM for 6 years and on his current radio stint Kiss-FM for over a year now which counts to his 7th year and counting….. (Remember he successfully booted out famous DJ Rick Dees on Kiss-FM as the morning man here.) Not counting his 4th season appearance as the host of a little watched reality tv show- American Idol. And another little known radio show-American Top 40. (Again successfully booted out another host!) Aside from that he’s also the executive producer of a now cancelled shows On Air with Ryan Seacrest and a new (suppossedly yearly?) show AT40 Live on Fox. Which can be very lucrative! Not to mention a ga-zillion commercials in Print, Radio, TV and on the Net which in the long run could translate to millions of $$$$$. E! said it best when they voted him as one of the “20 Young Guns Under 30 Who Hold Hollywood’s Future In Their Hands” Yes, I agree with Paul, as long as everybody's happy, then I'm also tickled ;D

Looks like Everybody ( or should I say every "Nobody" ) can get a star these days ..... Well I should order mine soon ........ Thank god it's really far from Casey's star, so I should not fall over it accidentally. So if everybody is happy with this, I can live with it too. Just wondering how good the special "vitamins" within the Kitchin' can really work. Oh my god: Did I miss-spell Kitchen ?? )

I saw about 10 seconds of coverage of Ryan getting his star the other day on TV....and they showed about 1/2 second of the group of people unveiling the star - and I swear one of them was Casey. Was it, or was my mind playing tricks on me on the 1/2 second of footage I saw.
