The memoir came out today; on digital platforms like Kindle since midnight; and it’s already #1 among the Music-related books on Amazon. She kept diaries for the better part of her life, so I assume it wasn’t too difficult recalling events from her part. BTW: Her father was a co-founder of Simon & Shuster books; but this is on Flatiron (a subsidiary of MacMillan). And the other two people (except Warren Beatty) that aspired “You’re So Vain” aren’t named. (Why? Because they don't know the song is also about them). Other surprises/highlights of the book on a very revealing article from Hollywood Reporter site: www.hollywoodreporter.com/bookmark/carly-simons-memoir-highlights-warren-843305She is tonight’s guest on Colbert on CBS. She might evade the questions regarding “You’re So Vain” though, as she did in the following interview (also: the interview’s audio on NPR site): www.npr.org/2015/11/21/456498644/carly-simon-im-constantly-reemerging-in-my-life
