*R&R Chart Spoiler* (not like there are any shows using it anymore)
This week Tim McGraw's country hit, Live Like You Were Dying, hit #34 on the Pop chart.
My question is...will this song ever hit American Top 40, or even the CHR version of Rick Dees for that matter (since we don't really know what his chart is all about anymore)
My guess is the CHR/Pop stations spinning this are the ones that either focus heavily on Adult CHR, or stations like WNCI/Columbus that are heritage CHRS, and although they are CC owned, have a much broader playlist than the average "Kiss-FM"
And, since, i'd say, at least 80-85% of AT40's affiliates are Clear Channel cookie cutter CHR stations, I don't think Live Like You Were Dying will ever hit American Top 40's affiliate-based chart.
I will be VERY interested to see what happens here. I can't imagine the average CC CHR/Pop "Kiss-FM" daring to spin a Tim McGraw song. I have only even heard the song on 1 Hot AC station....the former AC and still AC leaning WMTX/Tampa.
And, does anyone know how many other songs have hit the R&R Chart but have not been played on the new American Top 40?
Any thoughts?

Actually, since Tim McGraw hit number one on the pop chart with Nelly, there is probably greater acceptance of a Tim McGraw song on pop radio stations that otherwise probably wouldn't have played him.

My thoughts exactly, Jeffster. And Tim McGraw's song is in the high twenties on AT40/HAC, so you never know...it could just make the crossover to CHR.

**Spoiler**
Well I got my answer this week, as Tim McGraw debuts at number 40 on American Top 40 with Live Like You Were Dying.
On this weeks R&R chart, however, it has dropped from 34 to 36 (if AT40 or Dees were still using the chart, it would be 36 on NEXT weekends shows)

So do you think it will stick around for another week, or fall out next week (a la "Not In Love")?
