Premiere is offering a 70's pairing of 10/6/79(A) & 10/7/72(B) this upcoming weekend. Will the 4-hour version of 1979 be aired more often than 1972? The 3-hour '79 show should not be difficult to find. To quote Mr. Jukebox, "Once again, it's time to guess what station will air which show."

Wow. I own and will be listening to both of these shows this week.
It's great to no longer be held captive by recording software and fickle PDs.

We can count on the four hour 1979 show from WODC (which should play them both), and probably KOKZ (tends to go for later 70s shows lately, especially when they're the A's.)
Somewhat surprisingly, WMGN is playing 1972. Until the last few months, they always went with the later airdates whether A's or B's; I guess they're not playing four hour 70s countdowns any more when given another regular show as an alternative? (They only ever aired the three hour versions of them.)

WODC will most likely run the the 4 hour 79 show on Sunday morning and start an hour earlier at 8AM and then run the 72 show at 8PM. Countdownmike should comfirm this in a day or two.
WPNC will most likely air all 4 hours of the 79 show beginning at their usual Saturday 8AM time slot and then just run an extra hour.

Doesn't the 70's show start at 2pm ET Saturday on WPNC, so it would go until 6pm? The 80s show goes from 10am-2pm.

i have a feeling WPNC will go with the 1972 option - the PD of the station has said on facebook a few times that he prefers to air the 'b' option

I was subtracting 3 hours instead of adding 3 hours from my 11AM PDT start time.

These stations played 1972: KKLZ,KLFM,KODS,WEZG,WGRR,WJRZ,WMGN,WODC. Eight stations played the "B" show. Six stations played the 4-hour 1979 version. So it was close.
