What is playing right now? Is some ting Wong? It's pretty funky..? I have read multiple comments that for some reason they play hip hop for a few minutes in the middle of the night on that channel.

Will the iHeart Classic AT40 channel ever air a marathon of the AT40 Christmas shows (including the AT20/AT10 ones)?

I listened to the first couple hours of 1974 this afternoon. Small Casey goof, he announced the name of Todd Rundgren's first hit as "We Gotta Get A Woman."

I loved how they kept the original adds in the 1970 countdown. I was at work and I decided that I would listen to AT40 at midnight, and they just happen to start the year end countdown then.

Just started playing the marathon of year end shows. Part 1 of the Top 80 of 1970 playing now. Was Part 1 of 1982 played before? I seem to remember someone here mentioned it hadn't and this channel played both part 1 and 2 of 1982.

Yup, when the year-ends air on here (in marathon style around certain holidays), they've played them in full, including the ones that haven't aired yet in the Premiere 70s & 80s series. (However, none of the unaired episodes contain Larry Morgan's voice intros or extras.)
ETA: 1980 doesn't have Larry's intros either, even though it aired in the Premiere series at the end of 2014. Since 2014 is the year the channel started, anything aired prior to would have Larry's intros. Exceptions are 1971 and 1984, when you'll hear Ed McMann intro those. Premiere aired 1984 last year with Larry Morgan's intros, but that hasn't made it onto the iHeart channel. Guessing it probably won't anytime soon either.
I also think the extras get skipped even for the shows that have aired, when iHeart is in "year-end marathon mode".

I guess since this is the month of December the 2 AT40 1970's Christmas shows from 1971 and 1973 haven't joined the Classic AT40 iHeart channel rotation for a temporary time as of yet.

Will the Classic AT40 iHeart Channel start airing during Christmas week the Christmas related AT40/AT20/AT10 shows of the past before they start a AT40 year end countdown marathon New Year's Week?

As nice as that would be, I doubt it, as changes to the shows on that channel are few and far between.
The year-end marathon (1970-1987) will probably start around Christmas Eve or thereabouts and run through early January, assuming the schedule is similar to last year's. For those looking to especially catch 1982 and/or 1986 in full, it's a great time to do so.

I set my PC to record the 10th January 1976 show (the second show on the 70's list), but ended up instead with 22nd August 1970? And now they're playing 1st September 1973. So it looks like they may have added some new 70's shows?
