Thanks Mike! Just to clarify, is the Owens show being offered to 70s affiliates? We don't have rights to 80s shows if not formally offered by Premiere. I'll try to find out ASAP. In the meantime, I wonder if Pete and/or Scott might be able to help you here.

It appears that the Gary Owens-hosted AT40 show from 9-12-81 is part of the 80s package, and is being treated as a bonus show for 80s affiliates as if it were a special Casey-hosted show. I believe the Dick Clark guest shot was handled the same way for 70s affiliates, so this sounds fair.
I'm confident we will all get to hear it somewhere next weekend. I'm looking forward to hearing it even though WODC will not be involved with this one.

See Mike, that's why WODC needs to become one of those stations that airs both the 1970s and 80s shows each weekend.

matt - I'm definitely working on it! Love all those options for 80s shows lately. For now I'd love to be allowed to take the earliest 80s show each week that a double-80s is offered. Then some weeks there'd be three shows altogether. OK, too much dreamin' there! But more AT40 one way or another on my wish list.

Thanks countdownmike,It sure is refreshing to see a radio station employee\manager be as excited about AT40 as all of us. Maybe others are as well but I feel a lot of them treat it as just another syndicated program. I'm looking at the stations that screw up the airing each week.

Is there any way to find out what stations are airing the Gary Owens countdown?

Magic 103.1 WTOJ Watertown will be playing the show at 12:00 Noon, Sunday 3/1/2015 (the station DOES stream now, the listing on the 70's stations thread should be updated) cbwatertown.com/magic1031/listen-live/EDIT: Per their Facebook page, they will also be playing the Premiere Extras, which means the show may go Noon to about 4:15 due to their typical commercial load.

To answer a question from above, the show is being offered to BOTH the 70's AND 80's affiliates. And as Michael reported above, my station, WTOJ / Magic 103.1 / Watertown, NY will carry the countdown Sunday at Noon Eastern. I will also be sure to play the extras as well.

Just curious (Ken would know), does Premiere send out an email to all the stations alerting them about bonus shows and changes in the schedule? Or do they post a notice where you download the show?

I got an email from Premiere about the availability of the show. It was addressed to both the 70's and 80's affiliates.

I didn't get that memo but a dear friend got the info to me. My PD gets that stuff and he didn't get the chance to forward to me apparently before going out of town. So the PLAN is to air the Gary Owens show as a Sunday night special presentation at 7:00PM, since it's a 4-hour show. I'll confirm sometime Friday and the chart info will be posted as usual.
