I am just so happy that the Shirelles resolved the conflict. That would be really hard to schedule shows that avoided Turtles and Shirelles music. For next week's Top 40 whether it's 1-14-67 or 1-21-67, the number one record will be "I'm A Believer."

1-21-67 is the feature this week. The songs were still shorter so this should be a quick show.

Fast show as I predicted--ending at 4:17 considering the Top 40 and extras before #35, 30, 25, 15 and 10 (didn't have one before #5). Next week is the Top 1000 Listener Voted Top 1000, and it kicks off at 3 pm Friday and continues through the weekend.

After he played "Standing In The Shadows Of Love",Dave mentioned that surviving Four Tops member Abdul "Duke" Fakir was going to be his co-host on 1/28-I'm thinking that will be a special countdown.

Black History month is in February, so maybe he is doing a R&B countdown just a little early.

We had the countdown going on this week, so no Satellite Survey. Any idea what this Saturday's will be?

We can now listen on demand to episode #10 (which plays songs #44-#1) from the Top 1000 countdown from this past weekend. I might listen to it just to hear what countdown is coming up this coming weekend, but not today.
They also offer the Top 50 songs of 1965 that was played the weekend of October 1st, 2022, if anyone missed that.

I don't think it will be a year, but rather a tribute to R&B music to kick off Black History Month which begins Wednesday 2-1-23.

I can't recall a yearly countdown featuring a guest host, but there's always a first time!

Don't think there is a special guest as Dave is doing the Top 40 plus extras from 1968, but one day behind with 1-27-68. He usually goes in advance of the current date, but it is his show to do

Next week is 1966, and there was no mention of a special guest by Dave. Chart date should be 2-5 or 2-12-66. I still contend that sometime in February for Black History Month, Abdul "Duke" Fakir will be a guest.
