Cool! I just hope Mr. Leonard doesn't come along too.

Scott Shannon's new show will likely air on New York's WCBS-FM where he does morning drive during the week.

It this related to the announcement just made by Dick Bartley tonight that the Classic Countdown is ending its five year run?

Is the show ending completely or just the custom NYC WCBS version?

Dick Bartley.com website says the last WCBS CLASSIC Countdown was September 28, 2014 after 5 1/2 years. His other shows The Classic Countdown and Rock Roll Greatest Hits will continue in syndication.

Bummer for him. Glad the regular show will continue (although I don't listen) and i assume that timeslot on WCBS will go to Scott Shannon

Yesterday morning it was not on WOCL, WJMK, and WMAK (even in the what on section). Now WCBS FM as of now don't have it on yet this morning.

From radioinsight community October 19, 2014 at 7:25 am As of 20 minutes ago, I began recording the first Scott Shannon’s “America’s Greatest Hits” show that Sue O’Neil is still doing the 7-11 AM shift instead of “America’s Greatest Hits”. What happened? I’ve just check the link to the USRN’s website in the “America’s Greatest Hits” section that the show is coming in November instead of today. Looks like they’re pushing back to another month. We’ll have a few weeks until his new show comes on in November. Check your local listings for the time. No date has been announced yet. www.unitedstations.com/shows/?mode=All&Program=446&fmt=FmtOldies

I went to listen yesterday and noticed as well. Not necessarily a good omen

I would have assumed a show like this would have easily had 4-5 weeks worth "in the can" prior to the first weekend. And perhaps they do and the holdup is somewhere else. Will be curious if the first show still has the same playlist as already announced
