Kerri was on Fox News today I guess. I saw the video of it and it just makes me hate Jean more.

Saw it too and I have more hate for this wicked woman too and love that Jean's own family signed the petition and wrote a letter saying that they aren't Norwegian.

And one thing that I should bring up is that during the Howard Stern interview. Kerri brought up that her brother Mike should have gotten the American Top 40 back in 2004 and possibly the hosting duties of American Top 20/10 in 2009. She said that Jean put a stop to that too. Kerri said that Mike was going to step in and take over but Jean put the kibosh on that.

Ok as much as I'd love to add more to my hate of her. I have no idea how she could have any control of that whatsoever. Premiere owns them. Don sold his interest to Casey and then he sold it all to AM/FM which was later swallowed by Premiere. Premiere made the best decision to go with Ryan for AT40. And I think the plan was for Mike to take over but with the economy tanking ad rates and what I believe was Casey not being able to continue any longer than he did, there was never really a chance to smoothly hand over the reigns. I truly thought up until the announcement of the shows ending he would stay until 2010 (40 years) and then hand it over and during that preceding year they'd really groom Mike.

So I really don't see how Jean could have had anything to do with something that all of our understanding is none of them owned.

Great interview. Around 26:00 they are talking about how Mike was actually set to take over Casey's shows, but Jean put the kibosh on that...!

I doubt Mike was ever in line to take over AT40. That show was Ryan's from the minute he first guest hosted in July 2003.

I agree with Paul, I believe that in a better economic situation, they may have attempted to keep AT20/AT10 around with Mike as host when Casey stepped down. But with the economic climate of 2009, combined with the dwindling affiliates for AT20, it likely did not make sense.

That said, good interview with Howard and Kerri. Even with his usual riffing, you can tell Howard does care about this situation.

And I also agree that I feel like a possible "master plan" included Casey hosting until July 2010 with Mike stepping in and guest hosting quite a bit in that last year. Dating back to 2004, Casey mentioned when he signed the long term contract for the AC shows that he would be counting down "into the next decade" - sadly his health simply did not allow him to do so, and he just never wanted the public to know.

I've signed the petition on 22nd of August.I was going to make note about the petition here but I did not know the rules on posting petitions on this forum.I just noticed they extended the date to the end of the month .I hope it hits 30,000 by then.

Thanks for the HS interview.Thats to bad .It would been great if Mike and Kerri continue the countdowns after Casey retired.
