Thought to ressurect a chart rarity theme a bit. As you listened to the last week's show on AT20 you probably noticed that there was a slight change in the structure of segments in the last hour of the show that happens from time to time (and for me it makes the show more interesting, if it doesn't happen too frequently). Casey played another hit from the past, from 1989, Erasure's A Little Respect right after the song at # 5, then the next segment included the # 4 and # 3 songs only and the outro teaser was about the song at #2 "Apologize", not the chart topper. The last segment thus started with Sheryl Crow's 1995 smash "Strong Enough" then the story tied with the #2 song was paid and after announcing the number ones on the other charts, Casey introduced the number one song by trivia related to it, in particular, tiing the record for the longest running chart topper by a woman, 16 weeks for Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" tied with Avril Lavigne's 16-weeks-chart topping "Complicated" from 2002. This reminds me some more shows from the past that had no story tied with the number one song, and it brings the question: Which song is the longest running number one on AT20 by a male singer ?

The longest-running solo male #1 on AT20 is "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter. It spent 13 consecutive weeks at #1 on 2006. Here are the solo male #1's that spent 10+ weeks at the top:
"Bad Day" - Daniel Powter (13 weeks - 2006) "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?", Elton John (12 weeks - 1994) "Kiss From A Rose" - Seal (11 weeks - 1995) "Lonely No More" - Rob Thomas (10 weeks - 2005)

The "story with #2 instead of #1" method comes up every now and then when they run out of stories for the song or artist that is at #1 on AT20.
SPOILER ALERT...do not read further before hearing this week's show if you don't want a SPOILER...
It happens again this weekend.

Thanks for the answers and... I'm looking forward for this weekend's show and it seems clear from your hint Scott that Colbie's gonna break Avril's record...
