They would be wrong.
"If You Wanna Get To Heaven" reached #25 in 1974, and was heard two week's ago on "AT 40 the 70's" (at #27).
And thanks for reminding me, I want to add that song on my iPod.

Does anyone have a favorite One Hit Wonder? Here's mine: Jackie Blue- Ozark Mountain Daredevils Saw Ozark Mountain Daredevils at the University of Colorado in 1975. Great concert, but with the weirdest ending. They finished their set and left the stage with everyone shouting for an encore. After about 5 minutes, the house lights went on and the place started emptying. We hung around a few minutes. After about 75% of the people left, the band then came out to do their encore! The encore was great, but I'm guessing they were surprised to see all the empty seats. My favorite true one-hit-wonder (one top 100 single) is this one.
