This weekend will be a big show for AT20 (and I assume AT10 as well). For the first time, a Kasem that is not Casey is counting 'em down.
Casey's son, Mike Kasem, is filling in for Casey this weekend (Nov 17/18) on AT20. Should be a fun listen!!

Yes, Mike is hosting for Casey on AT10 this weekend as well.
And, something happens on this weekend's shows that hasn't happened (I believe) since 1971.

If I had to guess then i would say Casey starts the show introducing his son just like Don did by introducing Dave Hull back in 1971.

If I had to guess then i would say Casey starts the show introducing his son just like Don did by introducing Dave Hull back in 1971. You're pretty close...but that's only because I got my facts slightly wrong. What happens this weekend hasn't happened since 1974. Any other takers? |

It was a fun listen this weekend, indeed. Mike Kasem did a fantastic job filling in for "Dad". Counting down the hits is in this guy's DNA. It will be a very sad day when Casey hangs up his mic for good (hopefully 10+ years from now) but if I turned on American Top 10 or 20 in 2018 and Mike was at the mic......I'd be ok with that.

Agreed. While Casey will hopefully be counting 'em down for quite a while still, Mike would be the perfect person to take over when Casey decides to hang up the headphones.
