I don't know if a lot of you know that Casey originally wanted to be a baseball player. Well, having been born and raised in Detroit, I am certain that he was a huge Detroit Tigers fan. There is a video somewhere on YouTube where he was at a baseball stadium wearing a Los Angeles Angels jersey and he was reading a letter that was on a palm tree. Like Casey, I also love baseball and I briefly played Little League baseball as a kid. And my brother-in-law currently works for the Detroit Tigers.

Mike and Kerri Kasem alluded to Casey's love of baseball in their tribute show now being broadcast, playing John Fogerty's "Centerfield", which never actually made AT40.

Actually featured "Centerfield" as a B-side classic at the end of May. It began as the B-side of "Rock And Roll Girls", then charted as the A side was ending its 12 week run having peaked at #20.
