I'm under the assumption that various publications such as "People","Time","Entertainment Weekly","Rolling Stone",& "Billboard" will discuss Casey's passing in some way,shape,or form-FYI:"People" did a feature article on Casey in March 1979 which was great-I remember seeing a picture of young Mike Kasem at age five-That was priceless.

If I remember correctly,the picture in the "People" article showed young Mike Kasem speaking into a microphone & Casey had a huge smile on his face.

This seems like as good a place as any to put this: Some of the TV reports included this grainy colour film, reportedly shot in the early years of AT40, with Casey in a rather loud plaid shirt with equally loud reading glasses, reading from printed script and talking technical stuff with an even-then-white-haired Don B... first guess, CNN?

Not that I'm aware of for any magazine tributes to Casey at all but I assume there might be even though Casey was not on the cover of People Magazine. I assume that this is also the good place to put this as well, but does anyone believe that we will be seeing tributes to Casey at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, the American Music Awards in late November, and or at the Grammys in January/February or will they not do tributes to Casey at the award shows. |

Do they actually do tributes on MTV awards shows (besudes, say, bona fide video/music stars like Whitney and MJ)?
I don't foresee an individual tribute to Casey, but he may get a special shout-out during an 'In Memoriam' montage.

The June 30th issue of "Time" had a brief tribute to Casey by Mr.Disco Duck himself,Rick Dees.
