I should've heard this on I-Heart radio broadcast but caught it on Z100:
Jennifer Lopez is guest hosting the 7/04/14 show.

And Ed Sheeran guest hosts next week (6/28-29). I'm actually looking forward to that, as I'm a fan of him and his music.
So that's two weeks off in a row for Ryan; to be fair, Casey did the same thing a few times.

From what little I've heard I think what was about Casey is fine. They don't seem to go overboard which is what he would have wanted.

I love Jennifer Lopez! I'll be listening to her guest hosting AT40 on July 4.

From what little I've heard I think what was about Casey is fine. They don't seem to go overboard which is what he would have wanted. On the other hand, the indepth interview with the non musical Jenner sisters (including inane questions about seating arrangements at the Kanye West-Kim Krapdashian wedding) is a prime example of AT40 trying too hard to wedge in junk better left on E! (Rant over.)

I never said it was great. I don't see a day when AT40: the 2010's make the air in reruns.

(Rant over.) THIS. I still do occasionally tune in to AT40 and to be fair, they've been doing a better job of including some chart trivia and movement lately. However, I heard that bit with the Kardashians. I actually turned the radio off at the Kardashian-whatever interview. I don't listen to a show that is supposed to be about the music for reality TV gossip. 15 years ago I never thought I would say I like the WT40 over AT40 -- but I nowadays I do because Rick Dees keeps the focus on the music.

When Casey retired in 2009, Rick wisely chose to revamp his CHR and HAC shows slightly to take advantage of the "void" left...the focus shifted off the comedy and on to the music. That's also when he launched his AC show.

That's also when he launched his AC show. Heard by 3 people and 18 crickets from coast to coast.

Ryan also remembers Casey this weekend on AT40 , just before the number 1 this week.
