Agree with your conclusion. Good. She's been dreadful through this entire mess.

Yes I'm glad she's being investigated but I also feel like "whatever." If she's found guilty of it it doesn't add any more days to Casey's life and I don't know that there are any other elders she'd be responsible for.
Yes I want her accountable, but I'm not thinking this is so great.

Yes I want her accountable, but I'm not thinking this is so great. Disagree. A crime is a crime. Whether or not somebody commits multiple offenses, the criminal justice system has to do its part. "But officer. I only killed that one person. It's not like I committed mass murder." Of course an investigation into elder abuse won't add days to his life, but it will add more focus to the pain and suffering Jean caused him to feel during his final days.

You basically said what I feel. Maybe my last sentence wasn't worded the best. I'm not shaking my fist in the air saying "yeah law go get her woohoo!" Perhaps that is better. I want her held accountable. I'm just saying I'm not doing cartwheels over it regardless.

On that I agree, Paul. She likely made a sad, tragic situation even more sad and tragic. An investigation won't bring Casey back to consciousness or wipe the slate clean of any abuse Jean may have perpetrated upon him, but it would bring a sense of justice to an injustice.

It's really kind of pathetic that Jean and her lawyer are trying to turn this into Kerri's fault because she may/may not be a Scientologist. Kerri's potential involvement in the church doesn't give Casey bedsores, accelerate an already deteriorating condition, snatch Casey out of hospitals in the dark of night with no real medical oversight or drive him across 5 or 6 states in as many days... and unless all the kids are in Scientology, it doesn't explain why Mike and Julie (as well as Mouner and Casey most trusted friends) have the same issues and grievances against Jean.
As much as the commentors on those articles try to paint Scientologists as 'trained liars', Jean is the one with the most inconsistent stories and rationale for her actions, especially this "we've been divorced for 2 years" talk.
Y'know.... I'd really like to hear Liberty's side of the story. From what I've seen, she appears to be standing by her mom's side... which, in a way, I can't fault her for... but what is her relationship with her half-siblings? Has Kerri/Julie/Mike or the rest of the Kasem family tried to contact her to 'talk sense' to Jean?

I sure do hope to hear her side of the story too one of these days since she may know what else happened in the span of Casey's health declining and Jean cutting the rest of the family off.
And I'm also wondering what will be the charges that Jean will face if she is arrested for elder abuse.
