Does anyone know what station that streams plays all 3 optional extras on AT 20? The station that comes the closest is KBIG in LA(really Anaheim). They play the optional extras before hours 2 and 3, but not the one between chart positions 3 & 2.

I don't know of one, but the optional segment for any of these shows at that part of the show is just plain dumb IMO. if you MUST have optional segments, then do them at the top of the hour like you hear and then, if for some reason you absolutely MUST have one before the final segment of the show, at least outro it so at the very least the listeners of stations who do air it have a smooth out. AT40 has them too, and they sound just as stupid, all though Ryan at least says we will be back with the top 2 momentarily or whatever.

We try our best to make it sound good on our station. The ones on Hour 1 and 2 don't sound bad, as we go right into the TOH ID bed after Casey outros the optional song. Hour 3 is a little tricky, and we have tried one of two ways to make it sound good:
The first way is to "merge" the two segments into one. What we do is dump both the optional song and the #2, #1 segment into the system, and then play around with them on Adobe Audition (our editing software). What we have done is to edit out the jingle in the # 2, # 1 segment, so it just sounds like Casey goes from outroing the optional extra to the tops of the other charts in one breath. It doesn't sound too bad, and if the editing is smooth enough, the average listener wouldn't have a clue as to what we did.
However, since our production staff rarely has the time or energy to spend 5 minutes on something that isn't going to make the station money (aka, they'd rather be doing commercials), we also have found a 2 second sound sfx stinger we have for the station that makes the transition a little less awkward.
Then again, its been 2 years with the optional segments, so I have gotten fairly used to them anyway.

How feasible does this sound for a typical AT20 Hour 3 cd?
Tracks 1-3 would be the segments with Songs 7-3. All stations would play these. Track 4 would be #2 and #1, and Track 5 would be an Extra, #2, and #1. Stations that want that last song can play Track 5, the others can play Track 4. Stations that currently place the extra song elsewhere will either have to play it right before #2 or drop it altogether (or do tons of editing).
That way, there are no awkward transitions, and the stations don't have to worry about where in the hour to place the optional extra (some will place it in between Segments 1&2 or 2&3).
