Just a note to let you know that Ed McMann fills in as guest host for Casey this weekend (November 25-26, 2006) on AT20 and AT10.

I believe it was Presidents Day weekend in February 2004. This was the last time Ed McMann was the guest host for Casey. AT10 was still known as AT20 A/C.
I wonder how many AT10 stations will air the Casey Xmas rerun show instead of the Ed McMann new AT10 show.

What a frightning experience this coming weekend ! WHY ? I could understand, if it would be Helloween weekend. But this is not a nice Thanksgiving present ! The horror is coming back and the great performance of the shows will move down fast !

I thought AT10 went all Holiday music this weekend? Is that not happening yet?

I have said it before and I'll say it again.... I see nothing wrong with Ed McMann as guest host of Casey's shows. I would hardly call it "horror", and I am actually glad Ed has the chance to host again. I have exchanged emails with him in the past, and he seems like a nice guy, and from the tone of his emails he is always thrilled to host Casey's shows.

Call me crazy, but I liked Ed's guest hosting this weekend better than Charlie Tuna! I'm sure I will get slammed for this one a little bit, but I felt that Ed had a little more energy and enthusiasm than Charlie does.
I also noticed Ed said more than once on both AT20 and AT10 that he was in for Casey, who was taking a "much deserved break". I wonder if this means Casey had planned on having the week off, unlike the last two Charlie Tuna hosted shows when he got sick. I assume Casey will be back next week.

I have no problem with someone liking ED McMann better than Carlie Tuna. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. I am sure if you scower the globe you will run across some guy who thinks David Perry was the best guest host ever, and he should be treated with the same amount of dignity as any of us. Even if he IS in a padded room.

The "enthusiasm" Ed shows is probably a little too much to be real, more exorbitant, to show people how happy he is to do the show and how devoted he is along all that. Charlie Tuna doesn't have to suck up to somebody. He knows how to do the job and has natural entertainment talent. I believe this was a planned week off, since this edition of the show was probably heard on eventually half of the affiliates due to christmas and holiday programmings. This will get Casey a holiday week, followed by some less working weeks with only one show to record and prepare the YE programmings. So his first full powered recording day will be December 27.
