This Past Sunday, One of the two new entries on this week's At20 goes to the White Stripes offshoot The Raconteurs in when Casey intro the song claimed that the band was from Australia except for front man Jack White.
I just checked the Allmusic.com website and it claims that The Raconteurs band members were all from Detroit, MI
Should Casey and AT20 correct the info if the song is still on the countdown next week?

Most likely, it won't be next week. Caseys AT20 show for 10/21-22 was taped on 10/12.

Actually its a case of who’s who or who really owns the name The Raconteurs as a Queensland (Australia) band also uses the same name. The Raconteurs were forced to rename themselves as "The Saboteurs" for the Australian market when it was discovered that a Queensland band was already using the name "Raconteurs". The Queensland band refused to give up their name for the amount they were offered, and instead tried to extract a higher price from the Raconteurs' record company. A member of the Queensland band has said that they hadn't been informed of who was trying to buy their name and asked for the larger sum of money to see what would happen. Here’s the Australian link www.abc.net.au/triplej/musicnews/s1613948.htmSaboteurs of Raconteurs The Raconteurs announced they'll finally release their first physical single, 'Steady As She Goes' at the end of April. But we'll be waiting a little longer here in Australia because of a band in Queensland who already have rights to the name, Raconteurs. This week Jay and Doctor managed to track down Aussie Raconteur Dave Breeze: "They contacted me about twelve months ago, and offered me a paltry sum of cash." JAY: "The Raconteurs did? Jack White contacted you? Jack White's people?" DAVID: "Yeah the lawyers. And I turned it down on artistic levels. They didn't want me to change my name they wanted me to share my name when Jack White came to Australia." Dave reckons he wasn't told who wanted to share his name and demanded a huge amount of money just to see what happened. So when the other Raconteurs do finally release stuff here, it'll be as The Saboteurs.

I know Casey's staff usually corrects errors on the show when they're caught. So don't be surprised if there's a "retraction."

I heard the most recent show of At20 and Casey mentioned the story about how the Raconteurs had to change the name to avoided being sued by an Australian Band but Casey still said the Jack White-led band is still from Australia.
Maybe next week AT20 will correct it unless the tune falls out of the countdown.

This Week Casey once again lead off with "Steady As She Goes" at #20 for the third week. He didn't mention that the group was from Australia but he didn't correct himself either yet.
maybe next week.
