As far as I can remember they've only done tributes to those who were known for their game show contributions, Marcia Wallace got one most recently.

I just scanned through my recording just now, and I noticed that Jim Lange pronounced Casey's last name as "Kass-em". Maybe it goes to show how less known Casey was to the public eye back in 1967 as it was well before his AT40 days, plus well before his days of lending his voice to Shaggy on Scooby-Doo.

I noticed the mispronunciation, too, but at the end of the episode Lange pronounced "Kasem" correctly.
By the way, Casey sounded more like disco Casey (late 70s-early 80s) in this episode than how he sounded when he started AT40.

Thinking about this thing about whether we'll see certain classic game shows on GSN anymore ... I admit it could well be that way. Not saying never say never, as I still think GSN will show whatever show it feels best represents a given celebrity they wish to honor upon his death.
But then again, my new comments have in mind TVLand, which once was a haven for classic sitcoms, police dramas, westerns, and so much more ... a lot of that is gone. There's still the occasional classic show, but we're seeing 1990s and newer shows, and the new sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" more and more on that network.
Now, that's not to say you may never see classic game shows anywhere ever again. I say that with the recent rise of classic TV rerun network types like Me-TV, Antenna TV, Retro Television, This TV and others -- digital subchannels of terrestrial TV stations for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, etc. Many of the shows you once saw in terrestrial syndication, and then later networks like TV Land and Nick at Nite, you're now seeing on those newer subchannels. And who knows, maybe -- if they think it'll pull in an audience and thus advertising dollars -- you'll see a game show or two from the classic past appear on a digital subchannel.
Then again, I don't make the decisions. So we'll see.

Sadly, I'll be in school so I won't be able to watch it. Had to switch to Time Warner Cable from Charter Communications because of my recent move so I just lost Game Show Network, GSN, February 22nd, 2014, hopefully someone will post it on YouTube!

He hosted one in the late 90s called "180" or something like that. Paul, the show you're thinking about is "100%". It was the American version of the British game show of the same name. It didn't last long because the show only aired in a few markets (I know that it never aired in Philadelphia).

No, but when I saw low ratings, I am saying (help me out OldSchoolAT40fan, I don't remember exactly) Match Game may get 90,000 viewers. Some of the other classics may get 50,000. Whereas reruns of the newer Harvey Feuds do 350K-400K routinely. So, in terms of rating points it doesn't change a whole lot but in terms of advertisers you can sell something on Harvey's Feud other than senior citizen medical equipment. Actually, some of the classic game shows have been getting 200K viewers or more. Some of them have been doing even better than GSN's newest show "Mind Of A Man".

It aired in Jacksonville. I was passing through channels one morning and heard his voice.

It's been a long time since I saw ratings numbers from them though not surprises some older shows beat their new programs. They do not do a good job creating game shows.

I think some of those "new" shows ... they're so bad I can't even understand how they make it to air. (Yeah, I know, it's like any show -- it works well in test runs and on paper, but when it's actually executed, ... .) Brian

The classic shows I'm aware of that air on GSN include "Match Game" (which you mentioned), "Sale of the Century," "Press Your Luck," "Blockbusters" and "Super Password." Except for "Match Game" (which is from the 1970s), each of the classic shows aired in the 1980s. Brian I think they still show Password Plus on the weekend. There's also I believe now two shopping game shows that aired on lifetime in the 80s/90s too. But last time I read anything, none of these were doing any great ratings. Jokers Wild & Tic Tac Dough are #2 and #3 on my favorites list behind MG but last time either aired, ratings were very low. So, back to what I was saying earlier, that's why he said he doubts you'll see many if any Dating Game eps from that era on GSN again. My all-time favorite classic TV game shows in alphabetical order... 1 vs. 100 (2006) with Bob Saget $10,000/25,000 Pyramid (1973) with Dick Clark Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? (2007) with Jeff Foxworthy Deal or No Deal (2005) with Howie Mandel Family Feud (1976) with Richard Dawson Jeopardy! (1964) with Art Fleming, then Alex Trebek (1984) Let's Make a Deal (1963) with Monty Hall Lingo (2002) with Chuck Woolery Love Connection (1983) with Chuck Woolery Name That Tune (1974) with Tom Kennedy Password/Password Plus with Allen Ludden Press Your Luck (1983) with Peter Tomarken Sale of the Century (1983) with Jim Perry Scrabble (1984) with Chuck Woolery Starcade (1983) with Geoff Edwards, RIP (3/5/2014) Super Password (1984) with Burt Convy Supermarket Sweep (1990) with David Ruprecht The Big Spin (1986) with Geoff Edwards, RIP (3/5/2014) The Dating Game (1965) with Jim Lange The Joker's Wild (1972) with Jack Barry The Match Game (1973) with Gene Rayburn The Newlywed Game (1966) with Bob Eubanks The Price Is Right (1972) with Bob Barker and Drew Carey Tic-Tac-Dough (1978) with Wink Martindale Wheel of Fortune (1975) with Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (1999) with Regis Philbin Win, Lose or Draw (1987) with Burt Convy and Vicki Lawrence Wipeout (2008) with John Henson, John Anderson and Jill Wagner

Actually, they've done a great job recently with shows like "The American Bible Challenge" (highest rated show in GSN history) & "The Chase" (even though it's a US remake of a UK game show). OTOH, "Mind Of A Man" is kinda meh & they're actually premiering a new game show later this year called "Idiot Test". Yep, that's what it's actually called.

Yeah but if you take Bible and Chase they still bat well under 500 with good shows they create. The new Lingo blew. Pyramid sucked too. That improv show was a mess. Family Trade was a disaster, etc.

Family Trade was a disaster, etc. OK, that's true. Reality shows usually don't do well on a channel called "Game Show Network". This summer, there's going to be a new reality show on GSN called "Skin Wars". I don't expect that one to do any good. BTW, I liked the new Pyramid. The only problem was some of the contestants & celebrities were dolts (read: Aida & Nick Turturro).
