Early in the AT40 2.0 era, songs were edited up. 😂 Yep, opposite of the 1970s and 1980s edits. I was listening to 5/23/1998 this morning, and many songs got the artificial lengthening treatment. Some just threw the timing of the song off totally. It is interesting to note this took place when the average song length was near its peak, and this happened in all four hours.

They repeated the second verse of "Pinch Me". The next segment had a LDD which was "Anytime You Need a friend"(Ed McMann made 2 mistakes when he said it was a top 5 hit from 1993. It hit #6 in 1994). But they could have chosen a LDD letter and song that was longer to fill the extra time. Or in the next segment, the dance mix of "Faded" could have been played.
