Earlier this morning the weather and atmospheric conditions were just right and I was able to pick up 98.1 WKDD up here at school, which is my AT20 affiliate back home. I was flipping between AT20 on KDD and 99.3/104.5 Kiss FM here in Meadville. It didn't take me long to realize they were both running a different AT20 show. I knew we were running the right show at Kiss because I heard Casey's opening with last weeks top 3. KDD was running a different show, but it wasn't last weeks show. I listened for a little bit and now I am convinced they were actually running NEXT weeks show.
I know KDD downloads the show right from the Premiere website. Are the downloads available that far in advance? I lost the KDD signal as it got later into the morning. I'll have to see if I can figure out what they play next week.

I thought he recorded the show like Monday or Tuesday of that week?

No, from what I understand Casey records the shows on the Wednesday of the week prior to the full week leading up to the weekend. So, for example, this coming Wednesday Casey will record the 5/20-21 shows.

Also, at the station we generally receive the CD's for AT20 on Tuesday and 99% of the time they are there by Wednesday morning.

Right. Casey always taped his show 1 1/2 weeks in advance. He used to tape the CHR show (AT40) on Thursdays and the Hot AC and AC shows on Wednesdays unless it was a holiday.
Before internet downloading, Caseys soundbytes and music were placed together on Thursday and Friday. The disks would be mailed out on Monday and the radio stations would receive the show on Tuesday or Wednesday to air that weekend.
So, I could see possible the possible error. The station receive the internet download of the show. However, by accident it was programmed into the playlist computer for that very weekend, instead of next weekend.

I would think the Premiere website would make it so you could only get the show you needed for any given weekend at a time.

I stopped off at our station last night and this coming weeks show had already arrived. I took a quick glimpse at the Hour 1 cue sheet and I was right....WKDD actually played the 5/13-14 show this past weekend.
