WWZW did not air AT40-70s at its scheduled time. This has happened a few times now with them, hasn't it? WWZW has parted ways with AT40 - The '70's as well as AT40 - The '80's. You're both correct in your observations and assumptions. The only thing left to do is drop them from both lists. One strike(dougbroda), two strikes(Mike) three strikes(jgsynergy) and they're out! They formerly featured the '70's version Saturday at 6 am and the '80's show Saturday at 6 pm.

Mike, a couple of things about WJRZ:
1. They don't play the optional extras. 2. When they play a 4 hour '70s show, they play only the last 3 hours.
I will update you soon about which show they are playing this weekend to see if they always go with the newer show or not.
UPDATE: They went with the 1972 show this weekend, so it looks like WJRZ always goes with the A show on a two show weekend.

countdownmike, should we expect this from WODC on a regular basis, that both shows will get aired on two-show weekends?

countdownmike, should we expect this from WODC on a regular basis, that both shows will get aired on two-show weekends? Yes Mike, this has been the case since the fourth quarter of last year. A second listing would be merited for Sunday evenings at either 8pm (when they feature a second show from October 1978 or later) or 9pm during all other times when both selections are from 1970-September 1978. Columbus and P.D. Mike Eiland really love them some Casey x2 and we love them for doing this too.

Only reason I don't make a second listing for this is that not every weekend is going to have 2 shows.

By now you probably know I'm not countdown Mike but I will take that as a complement either way. I think the idea of a separate listing could still be justified since Premiere is now offering the choice of 2 shows more often; but for now I definitely see your logic as well. Best to just keep an open mind on this issue and if needed adjust accordingly. Under the station listing notes section you correctly mention WODC plays 4-hour shows; however, I don't think you need to leave in the time-clarifying statement that these programs will be played from 8 am - 12 noon (i.e. WODC will always play the 3-hour show in the morning and saves the 4-hour show for the evening). Therefore, on this station the 4-hour show would always be heard from 8 pm - 12 midnight. This is why I thought the second listing would be extremely beneficial. The only time your statement would have relevance would be in the event Premiere only offered 1 show during any given week a 4-hour show is available. And I think we all can agree this is never going to happen again. When a 4-hour late '70's show is offered, an alternate 3-hour early '70's show is also available. (Got to keep the affiliates happy). I know, this is ponderous! Cheers! jgsynergy

Sure I do. Otherwise how do we know it's not 9 AM - 1 PM / 9 PM - 1 AM instead?

First and foremost, THANK YOU ALL for the kind comments about WODC and its airing of AT4070s. I'm a fan but its rare for a powerless (but trusted) programming employee-AT40 fan to win over the programming bosses and air AT40 the way we do. Let's hope that continues. However, I must have a little power because I can decide which show to air when. I decided to air the 4-hour 1979 show at night last week because the next day was President's Day and more people could stay up late to listen. I thought later 70s would be more fun to hear that particular night. In summary, a 4-hour show could air day or night. But what will always happen, so long as it continues to be blessed, is when Premiere offers 4-hours or two shows any length, we'll take 'em. But what time the "A" or "B" airs will be up to little 'ol me! 8AM or 9AM-12NOON...8PM or 9PM-12MID. NEWSFLASH! Effective earlier today at 12:01 a.m. WODC is no longer Oldies 93.3. We are now 93.3WODC. Same great old 60s-70s tunes but we've added some 80s titles. Soooo, you know what I'm thinkin' of askin' my PD for future reference...considering the board I'm writing on. Thank you all again. www.933wodc.com/onair/mike-eiland-946/whats-going-on-with-933-12092224/
