I posted earlier about WRQN playing AT40 - The 70s this past Sunday. I emailed the program director, Mark Elliott, this morning and had a reply within two hours. The station just added the show and it will air two different times: Sundays from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and then will repeat early Monday morning from midnight until 3 a.m. The midnight to 3 a.m. Monday airing appears to be the latest weekend time that an American station broadcasts the show. So... Sunday 10 am - 1 pm WRQN 93.5 FM Toledo/Bowling Green, OH "Feel Good Favorites" Listen Live: player.listenlive.co/26301Station Homepage: www.wrqn.comMonday Midnight - 3 am (repeat of Sunday broadcast) WRQN 93.5 FM Toledo/Bowling Green, OH "Feel Good Favorites" Listen Live: player.listenlive.co/26301Station Homepage: www.wrqn.comHey 80sat40fan, I was all amped and pumped when I initially saw your post for the new AT40 affiliate listed above. The only problem is that the streaming link (homepage player) provided doesn't play over any of my systems. I had to go off the grid and rely on outside providers to access their stream. The tune-in link and the i-Heart stream play just fine but I still wonder what's up with the direct in-house link. Even if I could get it to play, I'm not very pleased with the request/requirement from the station demanding that I let them track my physical location. Next comes the issue of their claiming I need to download an updated player before I will be up-to-snuff to access their player. At that point I began to wonder if their stream would even be safe for my computer or mobile devices. Also, I'm not the least bit impressed by their lack of a listing for AT40 on the schedule page of their website. I am listening to them now via an outside source and the station sounds fine. The format is solid and I'm even getting to hear the original commercials and not the overlay/internet only ads. I have their address as: WRQN 93.5 FM 3225 Arlington Ave Toledo OH 43614 You have provided two timeslots for each week's show: Sunday (FIRST Broadcast) Monday (REPEAT Of Sunday Broadcast) 10 am - 1 pm Midnight - 3 am WRQN 93.5 FM - Feel Good Favorites AND WRQN 93.5 FM - Feel Good Favorites Bowling Green/Toledo OH Bowling Green/Toledo OH Listen Live: player.listenlive.co/26301 Since this link still will not activate for me I've provided an additional URL for accessing this station: Alternate Stream: player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=WRQNFMStation Hompage: 935wrqn.com/If all this is correct I'll get them listed on my forum page sometime after this weekend! Strange it's failing for you. In the UK it's working fine from their website All the Cumulus station websites ask if they can track you, if you just ignore it and do nothing, it loads up and plays anyway...at least it does for me. Hope that helps

At least we now have the second alternate stream from streamtheworld that works brilliantly (for me at least). I hope it works for you too! I did change the homepage URL that was listed. See if it grants you access to WRQN -- the original URL was not connecting to the station homepage. I enjoy checking out the BBC Radio Official Charts Company Countdown show each Sunday from 4 pm as Jameela Jamil and crew count down the curent weekly UK Top 40. I hope you continue to enjoy our weekly countdowns (classic and current) as well. Cheers!!!

The streaming link for WRQN 93.5 FM Bowling Green/Toledo OH isn't activating for me and others using similar Explorer browsers. Here's an alternate link which should allow everyone else the opportunity to listen to this station: player.streamtheworld.com/liveplayer.php?callsign=WRQNFMThanks!

I just tried the WRQN player link from my previous post in Internet Explorer, Chrome and Firefox. Chrome and Firefox asked to track my location, and I said no. I was able to hear the station's webstream just fine using all three browsers. Having said that... in an earlier post, I listed an incorrect web address for the station's website. The correct website is www.935wrqn.com. I corrected the web addresses in the earlier post but since my post was quoted a few times, it is still listed incorrectly in the quoted posts. I apologize for the error. I'll try to listen to the show online tomorrow to see if they play one, two or all three extras.

Is 103.7 The River on the station list? They ARE listed but Mike has them listed as a Carnelian Bay CA station. Very confusing indeed! I initially thought you found a brand new station since they are essentially known as a Reno NV entity. Everything about them including their studio address screams RENO. Check the Sunday listing at 10 am and you'll find them camouflaged right after the San Diego CA/Tecate BC station and just before the new Bowling Green/Toledo OH listing.

I did get the direct station listen live link to work but only through Chrome and Firefox. Did you try the alternate link? It's really working well for me on all three browsers. It activates much quicker as well. With two options to choose from everyone should have a problem-free time enjoying this station. Thanks for discovering this new AT40 affiliate and "happy trails" in your future travels via the Ohio Turnpike.

Obviously, their market is the Reno/Lake Tahoe/Carson City area, which encompasses parts of both states.

Mike has it listed as a California station? It should be changed to a Nevada station. Their transmitter site is no doubt at the Carnelian Bay CA location listed, on the California side of Lake Tahoe. Obviously, their market is the Reno/Lake Tahoe/Carson City area, which encompasses parts of both states. Their tower is in Nevada, up on an antenna farm with many of the high-powered Reno stations, near the summit of Mt. Rose (and the Mt. Rose ski resort). While the city of license is in CA, the station most certainly concentrates on serving the much-larger Reno area (as opposed to Tahoe). FM reception anywhere in Tahoe is very problematic due to the mountains surrounding the lake on all sides, whereas the Mt. Rose antenna farm provides good line-of-sight into Reno. I was just in Tahoe yesterday and didn't get clear, consistent reception of any of the Reno FMs.

I listened to this week's episode on WRQN 93.5FM out of Toledo this weekend as they just added the show. A few observations... Today's show started at 9:51 am, 9 minutes early. The show finished at 1:02 pm. With only the first hour optional extra being played, the show clocked in at 3 hours and 11 minutes. They played a lot of commercials after the first and third breaks of each hour. Having said that, the webstream was clear and only a couple of times did web commercials jump in over a station commercial... the show itself was unaffected.
It's good news for the station when they have lots of advertisers wanting their commercials played on a particular show, but running over 10 minutes longer than usual with only one optional extra played might not put this station at the top of my "favorite AT40 station" list.
They repeat the show at midnight tonight/Monday morning so it will be interesting to hear if they play the same amount of commercials during the re-broadcast.

I don't know who else might use KCLH as their 70s connection, but both their 80s and 70s broadcasts have "crackles" like there was some bad weather or a bad signal, fyi.

Thanks Yeah, i really enjoy hearing Casey and occasionally check out Rick Dees or Ryan Seacrest w/ the latest hits. You & others on here might enjoy Pick of the Pops on BBC Radio 2 as well. They countdown the UK charts from this week in the 60s/70's/80 & sometimes a 90s year. 2 years per show. Sadly, they are re-creations as the BBC didn't keep enough of the original countdowns when they aired back in the day, but you get to hear some different songs Airs Saturdays at 1pm UK/8am ET on BBC Radio 2
