I haven't really had a chance to listen much to AT20 since it doesn't air on my market, and until 2004, I was more interested in listening to AT40 when Casey was at the helm.
But as I started scanning some of the AT20 shows of 2004, I noticed a number of songs that never made the Top 40 (either BB or R&R) played as extras with Casey talking about the acts who sang them:
aired 1/24/04: I Melt With You by Modern English aired 4/3/04: Should I Stay Or Should I Go by The Clash aired 5/29/04: Situation by Yaz aired 7/24/04: And She Was by Talking Heads
In the case of The Clash and Talking Heads, the AT20 staff could've used a more popular song in place of what they played, that is, a song that charted higher during its chart run.
I suppose that HAC radio programmers consider these songs to be "playable" now even though they were not popular before. But it is still an interesting observation. Not counting LDDs, were there other songs played as extras on AT20 that were never heard on AT40?

A couple that I can think of that were played in the last few months: "Goodbye To You" by Scandal, and "Blue Monday '88" by New Order.
