This week in 1980 Casey did a sell on ONJs 'magical' five notch climb 2-7 I think going up 5 within the Top 10 is a significant move, especially when you end up in the top 3.

On last week's 1983 Casey sold Seger's 'Shame 9-12 more than he usually did other comparable climbers

It's likely that Casey would have been selling the 24-6 move by Vikki Carr in October 1967. And selling it big time.
But then - My dear God! - Vikki ran into a real lulu of a roadblock. A would-have-been Casey Jinx.
And Sam and Dave blocked Vikki from even making it to #2.

One song I would have really liked to hear Casey sell was A Little Less Conversation - Elvis' long awaited return to the top 40. I think that was the week of August 16, 2002 and it was an Ed McMann guest hoster.

Yeah, that would have been fun to hear Casey on that hit. He would return the following week (8/24/2002) and announce it as a dropper.

A little over a year later, "A Little Less Conversation" by Elvis Presley was used on US broadcasts of the TV series Las Vegas starring James Caan, Josh Duhamel, Nikki Cox, James Lesure, Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims, Marsha Thomason.

A combo sell/jinx today in 1980 when Casey sold the 22nd week on the countdown for Do That To Me One More Time, but it would be the last top 40 week, ever, for C&T.

Both of those hits are impossible for there to be a two notch move. The first peaked at 41 so never was played on AT40 and the second peaked at 40 so debuted when Casey never refers to its chart movement.

Wow I never noticed this before. A really good time for Top 40. Or Top 41 anyway. New format. Top 41. Bill Drake would not have been a proponent. He was a Top 14 guy. If that. Maybe 7. And Eddie Money had Can't Keep a Good Man Down but it wasn't very good. Good God that's a lot of good.
