You make very good points that should not be forgotten. There are many, many stations that are not Mediabase reporters.... It's just a way to do a quick side-by-side comparison.

And the Mediabase tracked stations were recently pulled more in front of everything, because the whole Mediabase thing belongs to the Premiere/Clear Channel family. Maybe a reason for why it seems they have cancelled station mentions during the shows. Eventually they wanted no promotion for none Clear Channel members during the show.

I never thought of that (the station mentions). That could very well be it. If that is the case, how dissapointing that one of the features the show has always had is gone because of that.
I also know that Cumulus stations are no longer reporting to Mediabase.

I also know that Cumulus stations are no longer reporting to Mediabase. Actually, they are... R&R re-added them after one week. The only thing they're not reporting are adds.

Thats the thing though, AT20 only airs in 20% of the Top 100 American markets (assuming this is the full Top 100 market list). My guess would be it was at 80% or higher in the 80's. And this is when he was simply doing one show. Combine this with the AT10 list, and you still have at least half of the Top 100 markets in the country without Casey Kasem. I really hope this isn't it. I never noticed this line before now, remember though when talking about the 80's it's an apples and oranges comparison. AT40 is probably still on 80% or more of the Top 100 markets. AT20 and AT10 are for a different format and the HAC format isn't in a lot of markets. Cowford doesn't have one.

If AT20 and AT10 make it together on about 40 or 50% of the Top 100 markets, will this make the glass half empty or half full ? I believe it's a question of positive thinking. Getting 80% or more today is nearly impossible. Add the small markets and the ones below 100, and you will get a good performance for the show(s).
