IMO, at this point, try and work out a deal with Jean that includes every other Sunday and gets rid of the requirement for 72 hours notice and a security officer. If she has any heart at all, she'll hopefully consider it.
I know I shouldn't place the blame solely on Jean, but even as recently as the late 2000's, Casey was ALWAYS out and about with Kerri Mike and Julie. And Mike worked on AT20/10 and the 70/80s shows for a while. Unless something happened once he got ill. And if it's just an issue with the kids, why can't his brother and friends see him?
Still so sad, And to think, just five years ago, Casey was getting ready for his last year-end countdown

Amazing some of the comments on TMZ about how the kids are nothing but money-grubbing brats. Right now I'm taking their side, as the poster above said, Casey worked very closely with his children Mike, Kerri, and Julie. Jean is keeping not only his kids but EVERYONE away. Something with Jean is definitely not right. Time is running out and I'm so scared for Casey that his kids will never get to say goodbye to him until it's at his funeral. So sad and no way for a gentleman in Casey's league and class to be treated. Love Casey! I hope and pray for some miracle.

I have nothing but a full and total disdain for Jean Kasem. It's a d**n shame I have to type Casey's last name alongside her first name.
Pathetic, petty excuse for a human being.

Just remember that Casey chose to marry Jean in the 1980s so he must love and trust her. Let's not be so hard on Jean until she has her say. Maybe she's good maybe she's not. But as a caregiver myself, I know that you sometimes have to make decisions that are not those that others would agree with but you do so because you're trying to protect the patient. Let's give Jean the chance to give her side of the story. After that we can decide whether Jean's actions are good or not.

Casey is slowly dying, and his wife will not allow his children to visit him. That is simply cruel. Not to mention Casey apparently wishes to visit his children, too: www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/casey-kasem-kids-visit-judge-article-1.1522739

There is an unknown reason why the banishment of Casey's kids occurred in the first place that neither side is making public. Something tells me that blame falls on both sides of this issue.

Here's People magazine's version. In it Mike Kasem, not mentioned in the Yahoo (AP) piece, contends to accept the settlement. He expressed hope that Mouner, Casey's brother, will be allowed to visit with him. dL
