Writing on Casey by Guy Aoki

Guy Aoki worked for American Top 40 in the mid to late 1980's. Casey often mention him during the end credits. He shares his thoughts on Casey's condition in this piece:

Thanks for sharing. The comment by Pedro Ramirez in the youtube clip of Casey's last show is perfect. And along the same lines is a comment by Guy in the 2010 article that AT40 was the best radio show until Ryan Seacrest ruined it. Now we know why there was no going back to the studio to do a piece on Michael Jackson's death by Casey. They almost went full circle in the recording times of countdowns. The first one in 1970 took 18+ hours and the last one took 11 hours. We are lucky that Casey made it to the 40th anniversary of that first AT40 to record that last show. Glad Casey did not take Jean's advice to run for office. But he definitely made a name for himself outside of his announcing with his protesting and speeches to that effect.
