Thanks a million, darnall42! They all work! I will definitely keep radio-locator in mind for future reference.

I have been very disappointed with Dar.fm support.
The worst problem for me is about 50% of the stations record at too loud a level - causing 'clipping' issues. When looking at those recordings in wav form they peak at 0db - but some of the loudest sounds go above that level and get chopped off - leaving a click.
Support told me the 'pops' were in the source music. When I provided them with short wav files of the same music recorded on Dar.fm with the pops and recorded via my own sound card without the pops - they didn't know what to say. They later said the audio level is provided by the station and they couldn't turn it down.
If they would just lower the overall input volume - it would solve the problem. One can always increase the volume during playback if it's too low. One can't just lower the volume during playback to get rid of the pops.
The stations that record and peak at -2 db or lower - never have the pops.

Why not have a look at www.quickrecord.co.uk you don't have to select from a list. You can record any station etc in the world. They also upload to popular platforms such as mixcloud and Twitter, support have been fantastic.
