A trainwreck of ads tonight on the AT40 from 1981 ... first there was an incredibly blunt ad for Trojans condoms, followed by the Verizon Wireless ad's father-daughter talk about a concert that was a (pre-?) teen girl's "first time" at a concert -- the latter ad wouldn't have sounded gross had it not be preceded by the former, but together, it was one big "Ew"!

"Sue Costner, your favorite sexual health expert.". Yeah. Sure. This (ob)Noxatril ad doesn't mention Viagra by name, as in the previous "it's like Viagra on steroids!" spots. Just a reference to "that little blue pill".

I'm getting tired of hearing "play Best Fiends, download free". I wouldn't download it if you paid me a million dollars.

She's not quite as overly-intrusive as 'Katie's' Mom, but the Chili's 'goatee intervention' Mom is not someone I'd like to spend a lot of time with either...

This Sue Costner, your favorite sexual health expert advert annoys me 100 times more than any Progressive flo ad

Who, in their right mind, wants to hear about sexual enhancement? It's a private matter.

The following example is not so much obnoxious as inappropriate: Did any of you catch an ad on the 70's show this week for ProFlowers and Sheri's Berries? It was a VALENTINE'S DAY promotional ad. And what is today's date? If you said March 3rd, go to the head of the class! Not you, Premiere! You go sit in the corner with a dunce cap for turning in your Valentine's Day ad three weeks late. (Seriously, though, airing obsolete ads for an event or holiday that has already taken place is a pretty egregious mistake that happens more often than you think. I've noticed this happening many times on local radio stations here in Indpls.) Once again this year I caught an outdated Valentine's Day ad when listening to a '70's countdown in March. This time the ad was for Jared (jewelry store chain). Did anybody else catch it? It might possibly have been one of WUPE-FM's local ads. Either way, it was as inappropriate and pointless as the above ad from last year.

Who, in their right mind, wants to hear about sexual enhancement? It's a private matter. In that case, if you ever visit Indianapolis, avoid tuning in to the main news/talk station 93.1 WIBC. I can almost swear that at least once an hour they play an ad for a local business called the Indianapolis Men's Clinic. And those ads make it abundantly clear what male disorder they treat. (Although at least these ads usually feature a man reading the script and not some sultry woman.) Oh, and most of the ads end with this tag line: The Indianapolis Men's Clinic: your KEY to a better life.

The dry mouth noises going on in the Geico commercial with the man and woman on a plane is torture when listening to the show with headphones (the sound is just as torturous to me without headphones, but that's a personal quirk of mine).

The woman doing the voiceover in the Kohl's commercial has a very annoying, turn-to-another-station voice.
