For the first time in a long time, and only the second or third time ever, as the LDD came to a close, the intro to the song began to play over Casey's voice.
The last time I remember Casey talking over the intro during a LDD was a show in 2002, and it may have happened one other time that I recall, but I can't remember. I'm sure it's happened several times over the years.
Do they do this because it adds to the LDD, or is it a quick "time saving" technique to shed 20 or so seconds off the final run time of the show.

depends on what you mean by the song starting before Casey finishes talking, I have heard Love of a Lifetime and Truly Madly Deeply begin before the LDD is finished.

Meaning Casey is still reading the LDD when they start the song and Casey talks through the intro of the song.
