Just curious: anyone know the highest debut on CT 40 and also the biggest mover and dropper on CT 40? I remember, "Another Day In Paradise" jumped like 19 notches in its second week, but I have no idea if that is even close to the record for biggest mover.

According to my records...
Biggest mover on CT40: 24 notches. "I'll Be There" by Mariah Carey moved 40-16 in one week. Highest Debut: #15. "If You Go" by Jon Secada and "Frozen" by Madonna (although I think "Frozen" may have been on the revived AT40)

I would think it would be hard to beat Prince's (or at the time The Artist's) "Betcha By Golly Wow" which debuted at 23 and got no higher than 16.

I remember, "Another Day In Paradise" jumped like 19 notches in its second week, but I have no idea if that is even close to the record for biggest mover. "I'm Your Baby Tonight" by Whitney Houston did jump 19 notches in late 1990. I think it jumped to #19 in its second week on CT40. CT40 was not worth my listening to, as I enjoyed AT40 more. Shadoe was great, though AT40 wasn't the same minus Casey. Since the original AT40 was cancelled, I felt I had no choice other than to listen to CT40 for my countdown fix. The World Chart Show was just plain awful! Now, Ryan's hosting AT40, and Casey Kasem is nowhere to be heard on new radio episodes nowadays. It makes me appreciate Rick Dees' show more now, and I wonder, if the rumors of Rick Dees' show ending its run ends up becoming reality, where will I turn to for current top 40 music? AT40 will end up being the only major countdown on the radio, and I just can't stand Ryan's AT40! But at least there's a good chance that the current run of AT40 may have a longer run than the original AT40, if Rick Dees does indeed end his run.

(although I think "Frozen" may have been on the revived AT40) Nope. Not quite, though Casey was already gone from Westwood One by that point. "Frozen" debuted on March 7, the last show under the CT40 name. It was already up to its peak of #4 in time for the return of AT40, just three weeks later.
