Does anybody know what the record is for highest debut on AT20 (HAC only)? I know the record for highest debut on the entire HAC chart is #13, but that occurred b/4 even CH20 existed. "Thank You" by Alanis Morissette, "Believe" by Elton John, and "I'll Be There for You" by the Rembrandts all debuted at #14 on the HAC chart, so I know it's at least #14.
Possible spoiler alert if you continue beyond this point:
A song will debut quite high on AT20 in a couple of weeks. I was just wondering if it would break a record.

I know which song you're referring to, and I won't spoil it here, but I would expect Casey to acknowledge it as "the highest debut in the history of AT20" if it does indeed break the record.

*Spoiler Alert* in case you still have not heard the 2/26-27 show:
** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **
"Lonely No More" by Rob Thomas debuted this week on American Top 20 at number 11. Casey said it was the highest debut of the decade, although I can't think of a higher debut since the HAC chart was formed, and Casey never said what was the highest debut in HAC chart history.

I am already sick of the song, I have heard it since Friday like 18 times between shows and radio stations.

This is where the fact that the bulk of my "radio" listening consists of listening to AT40/20/10 is a good thing. I have only heard the song once...on AT40/HAC for 2/12/05. And loved every second of it!

Being in college and not listening to the radio nearly as much any more, I have only heard the song 2 or 3 times before I heard it on American Top 20 this morning. It's good...a new style for Rob that I enjoy.

The highest debut I remember on AT20 prior to this week was in 1999 when Edwin McCain entered at #12 with "I Could Not Ask For More". That was during a bizarre week where Mediabase dropped a bunch of songs from the chart all at once, allowing for an unusual 5 debuts.
