For anyone interested,Alan O'Day, artist/songwriter, passed away at age 72 from a battle with brain cancer. He wrote songs for Helen Reddy and the Righteous Brothers, and of course had his biggest hit in 1977, "Undercover Angel."

As a kid "Undercover Angel" was a big favorite of mine, my older sister had the 45 and I think I wore it out!

Though I was not quite seven in the summer of '77, when I think of that summer, one of the songs that sticks in my mind is "Undercover Angel".
Thanks for the fond memory, Mr. O'Day.

On a related note, the Burbank Street Warner's label was always my favorite label.

And of course he also wrote Helen Reddy's "Angie Baby", Cher's "Train of Thought", and co-wrote "Rock'n'Roll Heaven".
