Well, this is ironic. On the 5/15/93 edition of this show, WFLZ I guess became the new Tampa affiliate for Casey's Top 40. He, his show, and this lineage has continued on this station until most likely tomorrow. With Mix 100.7 now airing On Air and the HAC AT40, I would assume FLZ will no longer be carrying the show stopping 1 week shy of 20 years.

I see no links to Seacrest's page on WFLZ's website so it's likely safe to say AT40 is gone.
I guess WFLZ at the time saw some value in Casey's Top 40 that once Q105 (WRBQ) flipped from CHR to Country (4/2/1993). After all I checked out Rob Durkee's AT40 book a few years back and by 1993 AT40 at the time was a distant third behind Casey and Rick Dees (not sure about the exact order off hand) in terms of affiliates (maybe WFLZ aired Dees too at some point; don't remember exactly when).
Honestly back in 1993 I wasn't that much into hit music then (the popularity of Rap was the reason basically) and my station of choice then was AC station W101/WUSA (which ironically is the same station that became Mix 100.7/WMTX and now airs Seacrest) but my younger sister and brother did listen to FLZ then or a little later on at least (and I shared a room with my brother) so I was subjected to MJ & BJ and interestingly on Saturdays Casey. It was interesting to hear somebody like him on such a station as the Power Pig as it was known early on.
I will admit though we have a few of the Crotchety Old Man tapes/CDs (a recurring skit on MJ & BJ) and listening to those skits were actually hilarious.

Wow... I was wondering why I heard AT40 on Mix last Sunday morning while scanning through. Seems strange that FLZ will be without a countdown show, and the fact that it's almost 20 years to the day is certainly noteworthy. (The AT40 website still lists WFLZ as an affiliate, but who knows how quickly they update.)

(maybe WFLZ aired Dees too at some point; don't remember exactly when) I'm pretty sure that Dees aired on Sunday mornings on WFLZ during the mid '90s (I remember hearing it during the period when Dees show strayed away from the official R&R pop chart to include more R&B/crossover songs). Don't remember when the show left the Tampa airwaves for good.

Dees aired on Sunday mornings until the end of 2004 when the show left Premiere and the majority of Clear Channel affiliates dropped the show.
As for current AT40, it is currently playing on FLZ
