According to Twitter @ AT40 : Baaer debuts with “Harlem Shake.” Clocking in at only 2:06, it’s the shortest song since “Bizarre Love Triangle” by Frente!
Well, technically the stop time for the "commercial" release is 3:16. That 2 minute cut is in fact the DJ promo radio edit. Should that count? I mean really, that short version is hard to come by, if you wanna stay within the legal limits.

I wondered if Premiere was doing to AT40 with Ryan what it often has done with Casey's rebroadcasts, and cutting down the song at #40 (where it debuted last week.) In any event, it isn't really a song; it is probably as close to as an instrumental hit as has been on the countdown in a long time. I don't expect it to go much if any higher; it only charted after three weeks as a "Breakout" or "On the Verge".

Believe it or not it's the "radio edit" that's sent to CHR DJs, it's on one of the Promo Only disks. I'm surprised that it had even made the AT40 to begin with because on the BDS Pop Songs chart it only made it as far as #38.

KIIS played it a few times and indeed it was the 2-minute version. So yeah, I'd say it counts as the shortest song since 1994.
