I noticed a few new things on this past weekend's AT20 that were not on AT10.
At the end of a few segments when Casey was doing the tease for the next segment, they played a soft instrumental AT20 music bed under Casey's voice. They had begun doing this last fall for a month or so once in the middle of the show, but this time I heard it once in Hour 1, and then in the tease for the number one song. Personally, I love this feature and I think it adds to the show. But turn up the instrumental music bed a bit, it was incredibly soft this week.
The other was that AT20 is now adding a jingle into the first segment of the hour. I listened this week on WMVX, which does not do the top of the hour ID in the "Countin' Down The Hits with Casey Kasem" jingle bed, but rather lets that play out and then does a longer t-o-h ID that would not fit in the 6 seconds. So it didn't sound quite as odd. But next week I will resume listening back at college where the "Countin' Down The Hits with Casey Kasem" jingle will follow right into the Segment 1 jingle. I would imagine that would sound a bit strange.

Interesting. Well, I guess as long as they separate the two jingles by SOMETHING, it'll sound OK.
