The LA Times real-estate section has a good-size article and photo spread of the Kasem abode, tho the writer on page 2 seems to think Casey is still doing radio shows... someone was nice enough to clarify that he isn't. dL

They also got Liberty Kasem's age wrong; they said 21 when she's nearly 23 (born in May 1990). That should have been evident from the article, as the house was purchased in 1989 when they were expecting Liberty.
Still, that's quite a beautiful and roomy estate, and it was great of Casey and Jean to allow the writers and photographers to publish this piece. Jean definitely has a great flair for design, evident with her successful "Little Miss Liberty" baby crib business.

A swing-and-miss at such a high-concept article, by numbering the reasons from 1 to 40 ~ when, if properly executed and done-for effect, it would/should have been a countDOWN, from 40 to 1.

Wished Rick Dees’ Toluca Lake property (reason #3) was more detailed.

Yahoo has a listing to his home on June 30, and it mentions that the price has been dropped almost 30%... from $42 million to $30 million.
Los Angeles, CA 138 N Mapleton Dr, Los Angeles, CA Previous list price: $42 million Price cut: -$12 million (28.6 percent) Current list price: $30 million
A gated, classic revival mansion with a heart-shaped pool stands out in Los Angeles, but radio host Casey Kasem wasn't going for ordinary when he bought the home for his wife in 1989. Originally asking $42 million, Kasem recently dropped his asking price by 28.6 percent.

I said I was inviting you for one...not that I'd be out there with you. I'll be inside watching baseball. It starts at 10am out there!

Face it - people are only going to be interested in such estate if the price is in the six-figures. Even a top celebrity likely doesn't want to buy such residence, otherwise it would have been sold by now.

Lets all start playing the lottery. Whoever wins buys it and turns it into an AT40 fan residence/commune. I would... Who's with me?

Lowering it to six figures? He'd be better off taking 5 gallons of gas and a match to it. It'll still sell in the millions. There are still plenty of celebrities, bankers, industrialists, and entrepreneurs of all stripes with disposable cash.
