Did anyone listen to both shows and notice the same letters were read, but for one of them a different song was requested/read for each show?

This happened to my dedication earlier this month. I requested "I'll Stand by You" by the Pretenders, and that song was aired on AT20. However, "Now and Forver" was aired on AT10, a song which I did not request or list as an alternate.
I really didn't mind though, since the other song conveys a similar sentiment.
I guess they use different songs if they feel one won't fit the format of the other show. In this past week's case, they may have felt that "Missing" doesn't play well on AC stations.

This practice has been going on for several years, ever since radio stations began getting very strict over what types of songs they play. (CHR/Pop stations, for example, not wanting to play a "lite AC" type song) Although I do understand the reasoning behind it, I also think it's unfair to the letter writer that their requested song be replaced.
I have noticed, though, that it hasn't been happening nearly as much since Casey left AT40. I'd guess that's because the two formats that he still hosts are not as varying as AC and CHR/Pop were, and so most of the requested songs now fit both formats.
