Up from #46 to #40 (where it peaked) for the week ending October 24, 1987, Stevie B's "Party Your Body" would only spend a total of three weeks on the Hot Dance Music - Club Play chart but its success led to the release of his debut album (also called Party Your Body) the following year.

Holding at its peak of #7 on the Top Pop Albums chart this week in 1986 was The Bridge by Billy Joel. From that album comes a song that did not hit Billboard's single, rock, or adult contemporary charts at the time but has since become one of his better known tracks - "Big Man on Mulberry Street". It did, however, become the centerpiece of the episode of "Moonlighting" with the same title, marvelously choreographed.
Said episode aired on ABC the evening of November 18, 1986.

I well remember Young and band (Crazy Horse?) performing an absolutely scorching rendition of this song on the season opener of 'SNL' that fall (Sep. 30 '89--looked it up). One of the all-time best SNL musical moments.
