Mark said Never Been To Me first charted Oct 77, really Sept. Then in their ever changing definition of a hit, he said Charlene was a one hit wonder, even though he mentioned other low charters and omitted her near top 40 miss w/ Stevie Wonder I think not calling any of those other songs "hits" is justifiable. Oddly, he didn't name the Tampa DJ credited (or blamed) for resurrecting "I've Never Been To Me", which is notable because it's the nationally known Scott Shannon.

Count your Lucky Stars if the show goes smoothly after a rough start. After ID'ing as the April 13, 1984 chart, Mark said Borderline was the final single from Madonna's countdown album...

Why Alan mentioned the non-hit duet between Deniece Williams and Johnny Mathis instead of "Too Much Too Little Too Late" is beyond me.

Mark had to Work So Hard to screw up Matthew Wilder's intro by saying Break My Stride was his first single.

Somebody needs to be Watching Alan as he said Rockwell had help from labelmate MJ. Of course Michael's glove had been at Epic for many years.

The first song coming outta Casey lite is Kid's American... I promise you that isn't in SXMs regular rotation. Followed by LOL, I don't think I've ever heard a Fogelberg song on 80s other than on Casey lite and maybe Lang Syne.

It looks like they're playing stuff in alphabetical order to fill in the rest of the hour. I'm guessing "The Longest Time" would've been next.

I wonder if they are on auto pilot after the countdown, last weekend after the countdowns they basically just replayed songs from the countdown. They played the Meco medley right after one of the airings and I’ve never heard that played outside of the countdown. After a later airing they played maybe four songs from that countdown.

Mark had to Work So Hard to screw up Matthew Wilder's intro by saying Break My Stride was his first single. He even screwed up the title of No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom in that same break.

Mark Goodman said for his first comment of the show that "Meet Me Halfway" was #29 when it was the second song of the show at #39. Off to rough start Marky.

Alan Hunter is one year off for the Supremes remake "You Keep Me Hanging On." YKMHO was released in October 1966, so not quite 21 years at this time in 1987, let alone 22 years as Alan stated.
