Well, here I am at #9 for the year 1982 and I got to thinking about something. AT40 was a much more popular show in the 70s and 80s. People cared where songs charted then. Had Facebook and Twitter existed the week ending January 30, 1982 that one of the most popular Facebook statements and twitter trends might me "LOL @ Foreigner!"
Sorry, maybe this is just funny to me. I'm tired.

i wonder if any nirvana or pearl jam song or mr jones by counting crows would do in 1982. My friend said they all would fail, cause americna wasnt read y for that kind of music yet...

That was the week after being held out of #1 for 9 weeks by Physical, it remained at 2 when Darryl Hall & John Oates jumped over them and they stayed at 2 for another week.
