On a quick count, 25 of the entire Top 100 lost45 were number 1s on the weekly BB Hot 100 in their time (Total of 31 titles were #1 on Cash Box Top 100 Singles chart.)

According to Barry Scott, titles are removed from the show if “it is not lost anymore” (his justification for removing the like of “Dancing Queen” and “Jesse’s Girl” last year because nowadays too many 70s & 80s oldies’ stations play them) ; Or they were not obviously “requested enough” (since this ranking is based on polls.)
