Heard this last week that Clear Channel bought power house WOR-AM in NYC from Buckley. Format changes in the works? Stay tuned!

You must've read the story by David Hinckley who's the radio scribe for The NY Daily News-However,you're incorrect about Citadel-They own WABC-WOR was previously owned by Buckley Broadcasting.

Thanks Mr jukebox for correcting that and I was very surprise that you weren't the first one to post this info because you usually do.

I made a slight error in my post for August 21st-WABC is currently owned by Cumulus Media-They also own several stations here in Connecticut.

Mr. Jukebox you probably know, was WABC-77 and WPLJ-fm 95.5 owned at one time by ABC? I believe it was but something was changed in the 70's or '80's about TV stations owning radio stations and Sen. Kennedy comes to my mind too something about monopoly...and newspapers too?

Thank You Mr. Jukebox...I remember Ron Lundy for a while doing promos on WABC channel 7 back when WABC-77 was a music station.

Speaking of Ron Lundy, next Tuesday (9/18) marks the 15th anniversary of his retirement from WCBS-FM in New York-Hard to believe he's been gone over two years now.
